Typingme.com is a simple and fun, but nevertheless effective typing tutor. By the time you have finished all of the typing lessons you will become a proficient ten finger typist. You will be able to type without looking at the keyboard.

This typing tutorial works directly on your browser. You don't need to download any software to practice the provided exercises.

Training is made up of professional and amateur versions.

Begin typing real words and phrases before the end of lesson one. Quickly learn how to type the Home Row Keys: A, S, D, F, J, K, L and; with the correct finger position. Amateur version only covers lower-case letters, period, comma, semicolon and apostrophe keys. There are 11 lessons in the amateur version. For most users this version will be sufficient.

Professional version covers capital and lower-case letters, all punctuation marks and number keys and consists of 15 lessons. It is designed for those people whose profession demands touch typing skills.

The first 5 lessons in both versions are the same. We recommend that you start your training with the Amateur version first then proceed to Pro version.

To alternate between Professional and Amateur versions use the blue box on top left corner of the page.

Keep these in mind.
  • The keyboard is made up of keys that are placed diagonally form left to right.
  • The thumbs are responsible for pressing the SPACE key and the two adjacent keys on the left and right hand sides of it.
  • Index fingers are responsible from two key colons each.
  • Middle and ring finger are responsible from one column each.
  • The pinky fingers are responsible from the remaining keys on the left and right of the keyboard.

The Amateur Version is designed to simplify learning ten finger typing. The same simple but effective methodology is used as in the professional version. When you complete all the provided lessons you will be able to type without looking at the keyboard.
